I found an interactive poster to teach Did Jesus Really Live Again? and loved the idea! I'k not much of an artist so I recreated a digital ane! Still, if you don't accept the fourth dimension or choice to create a poster, I've got a few simplified variations beneath!!
I LOVED the idea that was shared Hither. I merely created a printable because I'm just non much of an creative person! I am glad I but occasionally get all crafty as these tend to be more than work but every once in a while, it'southward fun!
Merely before you delve as well deep into a project, check out how it works outset:
Interactive Poster
First you'll need the poster I created (and a HUGE thank you lot to Susan Fitch for the artwork found Here!!):
Access my printables at my Resource Library. Instructions for accessing my Resource Library are plant at the bottom of this post.
I recommend press at Costco as a lustre 20×thirty print for $9.99. You lot need the JPEG version. Other printers might prefer the PDF file.
I should mount mine on white affiche lath to make it a little more than durable but … nah. Or I have a tiled version that you can print at dwelling house (it prints on 8 sheets of paper/card stock that yous can mountain then tape together).
And then y'all need all the poster pieces that become to it:
**UPDATE: I wanted to let y'all know how this went in principal…it was a HUGE success! The kids were so repose, circumspect and mesmerized by the poster! It was great! Perchance it was due to my praying all calendar week that my lesson plan wouldn't fail! The Lord never ceases to amaze me! The affiche took a little maneuvering but information technology wasn't bad at all. I'd definitely recommend doing this!
Again, you can download these at my Resource Library. Instructions for accessing my Resources Library are constitute at the lesser of this post.
I printed on white card stock and cut them out. Then I accept a laminator that is more similar a contact newspaper applier-machine that worked perfect for this project!
But packaging tape volition easily work! Or you can purchase contact paper rolls at Wal-Mart for pretty inexpensive. Just make sure to apply either tape or contact paper to both sides of your images.
Here are my strips, I spaced the images most 4 inches apart::
Upper Corner
- question mark
- the number "3"
- heart
- question marker
Right Side
- Yes!
- Mary (in this club)
Bottom
- Green pointer
- fish
- honeycomb
- nail
- spear
Then you need a large oval to brand for the rock covering the tomb. Get creative. I found some thin cardboard effectually my house (I salve random things for projects similar this – anyone else?) so covered it with some gray card stock I had on hand. It needs to be approximately xviii×12 inches.
And so yous need a brad to make the circle spin, and some other brad to attach to the boy and daughter.
To hang, utilise heavy magnets. The magnets are also helping my tombstone not fall over to the right and some other magnet to hold upward the girl and boy, so they don't flop forward when they are revealed.
Action
As an attention getter, ask the children if they think Jesus lived later he died. Then inquire if they call back they volition live once more afterward they die. Tell them this song answers this question – a question that many people don't know the respond too! Accept them listen as you lot and the teachers sing as yous use the interactive affiche.
Echo over again having the kids effort to sing forth as you motility the pieces (I can simply slide them along with my fingers). Subsequently doing it a few times, in betwixt each prototype/phrase, you can finish and inquire if they know what is coming adjacent.
Actions
Optionally, add in these actions (the deportment are from HERE which has a smashing lesson plan too!):
- Did Jesus really live again (hold hands out with palms up like request a question)
- Yes, when the 3rd day came (hold up iii fingers)
- He wakened and he left the tomb (blink eyes and walk in place)
- He chosen Mary's name (cup hands around mouth)
- Did Jesus come up to those he loved (put hands over centre)
- Yes, people touched his feet (curve over and touch feet),
- And of the fish and honeycomb (jerk hand back and forth similar a fish swimming)
- He did truly eat (pantomime eating).
- And there were nail prints in his hands (point to mitt)
- And a spear wound in his side (point to side)
- Did Jesus really alive again after he had died (hold hands out with palms up like request a question)
- Oh yeah! (nod head)
- And so shall I! (signal to self)
If yous are really dauntless, have different children come take turns (but I'm non certain I'd recommend this unless you have a very small primary otherwise, at that place might be tears!).
At the end, bear testimony that y'all know Jesus was resurrected and lived after he died, as will nosotros.
**UPDATE: I wanted to let you know how this went in primary … information technology was a HUGE success! The kids were and then quiet, attentive and mesmerized by the poster! It was bully! Maybe information technology was due to my praying all week that my lesson program wouldn't fail! The Lord never ceases to astonish me! The affiche took a little maneuvering merely information technology wasn't bad at all. I'd definitely recommend doing this!
Variations
Omit the interactive poster and utilize the enlarged cardinal-word images from the interactive affiche, using the deportment posted higher up. Cut the pages in half.
Assign each class a page (or 2) with its associated action, then accept them come upward, place their motion picture on the board and teach the rest of the principal their activity. Take them sit down down, then sing all the actions that take been learned and then far. Repeat with the next class until all the pictures and deportment have been learned.
Get even simpler and assign each class a phrase to draw the images on the chalkboard and then teach their activity.

Camille this is awesome!! Question…can I not just laminate the pictures instead of using contact paper?
Hi Natalie and Aaron,
The only problem with laminating is y'all need a long continuous strip of plastic (you don't cut out the laminated objects) and the laminating sheets aren't long plenty. Possibly there's another way to do information technology? I promise that answers your question.
