Choosing the "regular" three-panel canopy models would give your child a safe and comfortable seat just the same as when you choose the zip and the magic.

The zip and magic versions are good if you are expecting a "cold-weather" baby. Alternatively, a good blanket would keep your baby warm just the same.

Using a blanket has the advantage of being able to get out of the seat quicker compared to when there is a boot. However, if it is windy, having an attached weather boot would take the worry out about a flying blanket.

Unzipping the boot off in the Zip model will take the same time as when you want to remove the boot from the Magic, which is attached by velcro. I am not sure if you would ever need to unzip the canopy/visor.

Being able to quickly "unzip" the canopy, boot and visor are nice if you have a baby who always makes a mess.

While the three-panel canopy models can provide an ample amount of canopy coverage, the Magic version will almost completely cover your child while still letting the air in.

The fabric of the Magic seat is nicer but that doesn't make the "regular" and Zip seats less comfortable.

For an additional $10 that you will spend in the Magic seat, you get a more plush fabric, an extra canopy coverage, and a weather boot, something that is worth more than $10, in my opinion, should you happen to have a winter baby.

And the zip? It's the most expensive of the three while being less "superior" than the Magic.

I am good with the Magic* and the regular* versions but if you live in a tropical country, you wouldn't be needing the boot that the Magic comes with.
